Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for your continued prayer and support.
On Monday night, July 3rd, Stephanie, Madison, Hudson and I will be heading to Monterrey, Mexico, to partner with our long-term missionaries, Valdemar and Irma Sanchez. This will be a big trip for us as Stephanie and I have not been to Mexico for 14 years, and this is the first time for Madison and Hudson even being on an airplane. We have been preparing our testimonies, worship music, sermons, and the bridge illustration to be prepared for evangelism and discipleship opportunities with the Mexico team. Madison and Hudson have been working very hard to memorize the twelve verses and the illustration to be able to present the gospel. Praise God! Our family will be leading the worship at a church service on the Sunday that we are there and have been practicing together. We will be sharing in the plazas, door to door and have an opportunity to go into two different prisons with the good news. Please pray for us that the Lord will use us and deepen our relationship with Him as we serve in Mexico. Please pray for safety and wisdom. Pray also for London and Brooklyn, as they will be staying in Canada for the ten days while we are gone. Thank you for your prayer.
Last Monday was the final session of book four with the Equip to Serve group in India. These pastors have been faithful in the training and have been active in sharing the gospel through the bridge illustration with people in their villages. They have been diligent in memorizing scripture and daily being in God's word and are grateful for the training. We will be continuing on in September with book 5 and plan to see them graduate next year. Please pray for these men as they serve in India, they face many challenges, and there is heightened persecution for some of them currently. Pray also for wisdom and good communication during our meetings over Zoom.
We had our annual Di Golf fundraiser at the end of May. The event was well attended, and we were able to raise funds for our ongoing work overseas and locally. I will forward another email with a couple of pictures and video updates from Mexico and Asia.
We greatly appreciate your faithful prayer for this work and for our family. Please continue to pray for opportunities to share the gospel in our neighbourhood and that people would come to know the Lord. Pray for God's wisdom as we raise our children and for their growing friendships and school decisions.
