Judy and I are currently traveling through Saskatchewan. In addition to connecting with supporters and family, we are setting up a short-term team to travel to Thailand with us in mid-November. The focus of this team will be to help the poor & oppressed people we serve in Thailand and Myanmar to deeply encounter the love of Jesus through prayer and biblical teaching. This will be led by our friends Bob & Audrey Carroll. We are excited about this opportunity, hoping that it will provide a practical tool for the people we serve to grow deeper in relationship with Christ.
Some other blessings we are thankful for:
Judy continues to walk in healing from the intensive pain of complex regional pain syndrome.
49 children are currently being provided educational support through our ministry. We have 3 in Bible School, 2 in university and the rest in high school and elementary school.
31 of these children are in full refuge, being kept safe from human trafficking and other evils.
9 villages in Shan State are being evangelized through Sion’s partners. Entire families are turning from animism to faith in Jesus Christ. 5 people have been baptized so far this year. (Our role in this is simply to get behind these workers and supply the fuel and essential needs they have for travel to these remote villages).
Prayer requests:
Wisdom in knowing how to handle requests for sending more workers into the harvest field in Shan State, as well as a request to build a “house of prayer” in a village where many have turned in faith to Christ. This facility will serve as a central place of worship to reach 9 villages in the region.
Blessings as we travel and divine appointments, both for our ministry and also for anyone that Jesus’ wants us to meet.
Could there be anyone from Ross Road Church who the Lord is stirring to join us on our trip to Thailand this fall? (Please let us know soon)
