Dear church family,

Thank you for your love, friendship, and support over the years. We have been Blessed over and over by your generosity. We give all the praise and glory to God.

We spent April in Australia, visiting Lisa Christian and family in Sydney and Paula Eddie and family in Tumut. We also spent some time with Paul’s three sisters and one brother. We had an awesome time with everyone.

Our fundraiser banquet in May was at the Alliance Church in Chilliwack. We had about 90 people attend. What a great evening. This was our first banquet in Chilliwack since co-vid. Levi and Jake De Waal did a fantastic job with the music. Thank you. 

Our first golf tournament fundraiser will be on Sept. 17, 2023, at the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club. Thank you to Levi and Jake De Waal, who are organizing this event. After the golf game, dinner will be served in the clubhouse. We have room for sixty people at the dinner. For more info, contact Levi or Jake De Waal and Paul Cairns.

Pray for our truckers and their families. Pray for Eugene, who has shown interest in becoming a volunteer chaplain. Pray for our chaplains Ed, Corky, Garret, Bill, Mel and myself. We are all struggling with ongoing health issues. Pray for strength and energy as we reach out to those in the trucking industry who need the Lord. Pray for Curt an ex-truck driver who accepted the Lord at our Nov. banquet. He has since had colon cancer surgery and just lately had a stroke. Pray for his family as they go through this with him.

Talked to Clarence a driver from MB. He grew up in a Christian home but decided to walk away from his religion. We had a very long talk about the difference between religion and having a personal relationship with God. Before leaving, he let me pray for him and accepted a Bible.

A Punjab driver accepted the book of John from me. Later I see him coming across the parking lot towards me. When he got to me, he said, 'My friend is coming; can I have another booklet to give to him?' I gave him a couple of extras. Pray for these drivers that the Holy Spirit will convict them.
