FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- What does a typical day at camp look like?
Soccer kids will be taught some basic skills, take part in fun drills, and play in some small area soccer games.
Arts kids will get to participate in a variety of activities which could include visual art projects, music and performing arts.
Everyone will take part in our large group rallies which includes group games, songs skits, and teaching. We also have small group time where kids will interact with their leaders and peers around what they’ve learned.
- What does my ARTS camper need to bring to camp? They should come dressed in clothes they can paint and create in. While the goal is for the art materials to end up on the project, not the child, messes can happen so kids should be wearing clothes you are ok with them doing art in.
- What does my SOCCER camper need to bring to camp? They should come dressed to be active and wear runners (cleats and shin guards are optional). Come prepared for the weather (rain or shine). This may include sunscreen, a hat, sweater, or light jacket depending on the forecast.
- Does my kid need to bring their own soccer ball? No, we provide soccer balls.
- My kid has a food allergy, will there be snacks provided for them? We aim to be able to provide gluten free and dairy free options. We will contact families who have children with dietary issues that we may not be able to accommodate. You are also welcome to send a nut free snack in a labeled bag that can be dropped off at morning registration.
- What should my camper refrain from bringing to camp? Please do not send your camper to camp with any valuables (iPods, MP3 players, tablets, DSIs, toys, jewelry, etc.). These items are not a part of our camp program and do not fit into our daily plans.
- What should my camper bring for a snack? Snacks and water are provided so kids do not need to bring any food.
- What if my child has medications? All medications must be noted on the registration. If sending medication to camp, please make sure it is in its original container and stored in a bag labeled with the child’s name and dosage instructions. The medication must be turned in at the registration table or with the first aid attendant so it can be stored in a secure location. For emergency medications they will be kept with the first aid attendant or worn by the camper or staff as per the guardian’s instructions.
- Can I give permission for someone else to pick up my camper? Anyone picking up a child from camp will need the pick-up tag provided at registration. If you have someone else picking up your child let the registration table know so that we know who you have authorized to pick up your child.
